It is Korea's representative international airport located in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. Incheon International Airport opened in the 21st century to share air transport demand in the Seoul metropolitan area and play a role as a hub airport in Northeast Asia. Starting with the reclamation work between Yeongjongdo Island and Yongyudo Island in 1992, it was opened on March 29, 2001 after an eight-year and four-month construction period. It is equipped with two runways, a first passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, a first transportation center, a 22-story control tower, 60 passenger moorings, 24 cargo moorings, and 21km of baggage handling facilities.
